Corporate Volunteering

Staff Volunteering is a great way to build teamwork among your employee base. 

It provides a unique experience for your staff while helping us with much-needed assistance to enrich the lives of the people we support. 

We appreciate the support provided by participating organisations and acknowledge their enormous contribution to Sunnyfield. We are also beginning to realise the impact volunteer assistance makes when we hear our corporate volunteers noticing improved team morale resulting from their involvement. 

There are three ways your organisation can get involved:

1. Renovation and Garden Rescues

Corporate Volunteer Programs provide the opportunity for your staff to directly contribute to urgent renovation rescue projects within the Sunnyfield community. 

2. Engagement Days

Our engagement days provide a fun event which results in a win-win situation for both the corporate staff volunteering and the people support. The following are a few activities developed by Sunnyfield and its sponsors. 

On LexisNexis ‘Sunnyfield Day’, 270 staff volunteers come together with 230 of the people we support.

Fed Ex ‘Big Day Out’ volunteers take 80 people we support to the movies and a wildlife park.

Lloyds International pamper our residents at Carinya. 

Sam Manion from Lloyds International recently volunteered at one of the Allambie Heights congregate care facilities. The day involved baking cakes and pampering activities. Sam described his experience as very rewarding and enjoyable and added "I would encourage as many people as possible to volunteer at Sunnyfield. I found the residents friendly people and easy to communicate with. I took part in activities that I hadn't done before (nail painting and baking cakes). I really enjoyed meeting the staff and hearing more about what they do and how the place is run. I look forward to going there again."
